New Jersey Online Poker Championship

New Jersey's online gambling industry grew more slowly in the first three months than initially predicted, but the market appears to finally be gaining traction. Many of the gaming providers are already considering new ways to boost their business. The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa and its partner Party Poker are about to launch the first online poker championship in the state's history.

Party Poker and the Borgata are currently leading the market. Their customers have been pleased with the array of services that they offer. Mike Sexton, the head of the World Poker Tour and Team PartyPoker, said that the new tournament should help the company gain an even stronger advantage over its competitors.

The championship will begin on Saturday and continue until Sunday, April 27. The tournament will kick off with a $20,000 guaranteed prize on Saturday. The guaranteed prize pool on Sunday's event will be worth $100,000 and the champion will win a minimum prize of $25,000. Players will need to pay a $100 buy-in fee. Sexton encourages nonresidents to visit New Jersey to participate.

Sexton said that the championship will be a turning point for the New Jersey online gambling market. He said that players will be wagering more money and competing for larger prizes than any other competition since online gambling was regulated in the Garden State.
